I wanted to make a little inspiring sign for my kitchen using this adorable quote and free printable I found online a couple weeks ago.
For this project I thought I would try a new product called Scrapbooking Attitude: a printable film that you can transfer to wood, paper, or fabric after printing on it from your normal ink jet printer.
I gathered my supplies:
- Scrapbooking Attitude printable scrapbooking film
- Wood plaque (purchased from House129)
- Ribbon
- White acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Flower embellishment
I started by prepping my wood plaque with a coat of white acrylic paint. While it was drying, I started on my quote for the sign. I found the free printable from MotherLetters.com.
I made sure I measured the wood plaque and sized the quote to fit. I just put the printable film in my normal ink jet printer and clicked Print. I also had to make sure I reversed the image before printing… very important!
I used my glue stick to cover the ink side of the Scrapbooking Attitude paper, positioned it into place, and peeled off the backing.
I added a bit of ribbon to hang and a pink flower for a bit of embellishment! Pretty cute, right? Yep, I’m going to love seeing this quote everyday in my kitchen. Makes me smile from ear to ear 🙂
