So if you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you might have heard that a local TV crew came out to my house this past Tuesday to shoot a little feature story on my little ol’ blog.
Yep, I was quite excited (and shocked) when Great Day St. Louis from KMOV Channel 4 called me out of the blue and asked if they could come tour my house and do an interview. But of course I said YES!
We started with a tour of my craft room. And please pardon the photos… adjusting my manual settings was not in the forefront of my mind during this whirlwind experience.
After an interview in my craft room, we moved onto my kitchen makeover.
And my hubby even got his 15 minutes of fame when they asked him to show off our Master Bedroom Makeover and our fun “That’s What She Said” dry erase boards.
The biggest bummer of the day (if you can even count this)? I forgot to show them my stenciled washer and dryer! I love that makeover in my laundry room but it completely slipped my mind.
Well, I have to thank Virginia from Great Day St. Louis for finding my blog and giving me this opportunity!
AND… we even shot a craft segment that’s going to air on Opening Day for the STL Cardinals (and if you’re from St. Louis, you know that Opening Day is basically a holiday in this town!).
This feature story should air some time next week (I’m thinking Tuesday) so I’ll post a link after it airs!

You are one the best bloggers around it is good that more people will get to know who you are. Way to go hometown girl.
Thanks so much Mike! You’re always too sweet.
Yay! Congrats! It’s so much easier when they come to your house! I would be a neevous wreck if I had to do the station thang!
THanks Allison! And I agree, much easier to do it at home!!
You’re so famous! Can I have your autograph? Can’t wait to see the segment! And that’s so awesome about Cardinals craft segment!

Congrats! How can we see the interview?
I’ll post a link on my blog this week!
How exciting! And look…now the camera guy is a little more famous too.
Haha! It’s funny, he was talking about how he used to have a blog too! A little different topic than crafting, but still funny to talk with him about blogs!
Congratulations:)!!!! I live near St.Louis and so excited to follow a blogger from this area!!!!
Awesome Martha! I love meeting anyone from nearby!! Thanks for following :)
Erin that is SO AMAZING!! I’m so proud to be a fellow St. Louis blogger!
Woot! Woot!! Go STL girls!
So exciting! I never have tv on during the day, so will look for your reminder…. Post on your blog too! Congrats!
Btw, the chesterfield Home Depot rescheduled the di herself tile/ mirror for march 21. Did the sunset hills location reschedule you?
I’ll post a link too Janet! And the Sunset Hills location actually DID have their workshop through the snow and freezing rain, but I think we might still do something for the girls that decided not to travel in the storm. I’ll try to be at the March location in Chesterfield!! Really close to my home too :)
Congrats girl! This is AWESOME!!!
How exciting! I cannot wait to see the segment. They need to come out and do a reshoot because the washer and dryer are AWESOME. :).
Very exciting too about the Cardinals segment, better get ready for a ton of new followers!!
So glad you are getting recognition, you are one of my must reads.
