So last Friday I shared some wedding photos with you guys and explained why I threw away my wedding dress the day after I got married. Well while I was searching for those photos I stumbled across some old high school pics.
OH. MY. WORD.
Would you like to see a couple of my favorite embarrassing photos?
This photo is one of my favorites. We were both 18 and on spring break in Florida with my family. I guess they would rather have me on a family vacation with my boyfriend then on spring break alone a bunch of friends. Smart move, mom.
And you know how in high school yearbooks they give Seniors superlatives, like “Most Likely to Succeed” and “Best Dressed”? Well, can you guess what superlative I got? Biggest Flirt. Yep, my parents were quite proud… but at least I went to a Catholic high school so I was somewhat of an innocent teenager, right?
So after looking through these photos I noticed a couple of things…
1. I was a lot thinner. Woof.
2. I had much clearer skin than I do now as a 31 year old.
But seriously, after going through these photos I haven’t been this depressed in a long time. It’s hard to find some recent pics to put in this blog but it seems that I’ve been hiding behind the camera for way too long. So it’s time to do something about it.
Don’t worry. I’m not going to hound you on this blog about my big ol’ journey, but I might give you a once-a-month update. I’m going to eat better, exercise, take better overall care of my appearance… including my skin.
I’m going to start with a daily regimen of the NEW! Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Cleansers. I even got a coupon for $1 off any of the products from Walmart (you can get it HERE).
My skin is very sensitive but luckily this acne medication is gentle enough to use every day, twice a day. They are formulated with sensorial Superfruit Extracts AND are gently medicated with 1% salicylic acid acne medication to help prevent blemishes. And it’s only $4 from Walmart when you use the coupon.
I have to say I’m very excited to get on this journey to get my face, body and spirit back into gear. Hopefully I’ll make some progress in the next few months (my skin is already looking better after 3 days!).
My 32nd birthday is in November and I’d love to show you a nice before & after reveal in 3 months with cleaner skin and a cleaner lifestyle!
So, anyone else wanting to hit the rewind button and get back on track?
Are you dealing with adult acne like me?
