Full Steam Ahead: Stencil Ideas for {someday} Craft Room

Whelp, I got home from Rivera Maya late on Friday night and decided it was time to actually do something to our extra room down the hall (which is currently the extra bedroom/daughter’s playroom/storage room). I kinda just looked around, felt I needed a change, and ripped down all of the wallpaper…right there, on the spot. Nope, no thinking about it. No planning. Just went to town!

OK, so now that my walls are bare and the furniture is moved out from the walls, I need to redesign. It’s like a blank canvas sitting in front of me asking to be painted. I’ve been searching on Pinterest and blogs trying to find inspiration and I think I’ve decided on a stenciled wall. Yep, might be going that route again (see here for my last stencil project).

So, here we go. Just some of my favorites from this past weekend’s search:

Hmmm… I am kinda in love with this polka dot idea. Especially if I have to convert my {someday} craft room into a nursery again in the future.

I’ll also be choosing wall colors this week. Thinking maybe tans, grays or yellows? Here’s the deal though… do I choose my fabrics first, like for my drapes and pillows? Or do I choose the paint and stencil first? I have some pieces of furniture I’d like to use in this room that are already painted, plus some Annie Sloan chalk paint that I would love to use as well… oh, decisions, decisions :)  STAY TUNED. Leave some comments if you have any ideas!

Finding Inspiration: Craft Room Ideas

I’m in the process of turning my daughter’s playroom into a shared space for my desk and crafts as well. Here are a couple of photos of other craft rooms that I adore and will inspire my space. As soon as I return from vacation in sunny Florida, my focus is going to be revamping this room into my dream haven!
