Younique Mascara GIVEAWAY!

Let me preface this by saying I do NOT sell Younique! This isn’t some “hey, come buy stuff from me” campaign. I’m just a HUGE fan of this mascara. Seriously.

So since the holidays are basically here I thought you could use a little stocking stuffer. Maybe something that you’ve seen or heard about, but would never actually buy for yourself.

Well that’s where I come in.

TWO LUCKY LADIES are going to win a
FREE Younique 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara!

This isn’t sponsored by Younique;
merely something out of my own pocket to say THANKS.

So if you haven’t seen this mascara before, it’s pretty cool.
You use your own lashes and apply the Transplanting Gel
then the Natural Fibers then the Transplanting Gel again to lock in the fibers.

And the results you get are something like this…

So again, there’s not just one winner,

To enter, just leave me a comment telling me
what else you want Santa to leave in your stocking!

Winners will be announced one week from today.

Since I don’t sell the stuff myself, here is where you can buy it.
It retails for $29 each and lasts around 3 months I think.

It’s an AWESOME stocking stuffer for someone you love!
or yourself ;)

Backyard Cleanup + $100 Gift Card GIVEAWAY

If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you’ll probably recall that I hate yard work. I mean me and plants just don’t get along. So when it’s time to do a yard project, I cringe.

But of course a brand new house means lots of outdoor projects. We’ve been putting off the backyard as long as we could but we figured Fall was a great time to get our butts into gear.

Our homesite is close to a half acre but you wouldn’t know that looking at it. Most of it is trees, lots of luscious trees. And we’re in love with 90% of them, except for the ones right where the grass meets the woods. This is where you find a bunch of dead trees and overgrown brush.

backyard beforeDon’t mind the photos changing from Summer into Fall. I told you we’ve been putting this off for awhile!

So we started by taking out about 10-15 feet of the brush. We cut down any tree that was smaller than 2 inch diameter.

backyard clean upWe also chopped down the large dead tree. Firewood anyone?

backyardNext it was time to kill the brush and make sure it wouldn’t come back any time soon. We used Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer from Ace Hardware to tackle the job.

roundup poison ivy killerThis stuff handles hard to kill weeds and brush and kills the roots. The best part? You can start seeing results in 3 hours.
