I’m all about fast & easy (and cheap!) holiday decorating this year! … and I’m sure many of you are the same. So here’s a great project that anyone can do and it only takes 3 supplies.
After creating my Fall Hurricane Centerpiece the other week, I still had some extra candles and glass vases sitting around. I was trying to think how I could jazz up the plain ol’ vases on a budget for the upcoming holiday season and then it came to me… Washi Tape.
- (3) glass cylinders (from the Dollar Tree)
- (3) pillar candles (from the Dollar Tree)
- Martha Stewart holiday washi tape (package of 4 rolls from Michael’s for $3 after 40% off coupon)
All you have to do is wrap the washi tape around the glass candle holder. This ain’t complicated, people. Just wrap and rotate colors. I left a little space between each row, too.
All three candle holders took me about 10 minutes to wrap in washi tape. And all 3 candle holders plus the candles cost me less than $10! How’s that for holiday savings?

what a cute idea! I just have to share!
Thank you so much!
There a so many adroable and endless uses for washi tape.. I’m thinking I need to jump on this bandwagon soon!!!
:) very nice candle holders, I like that you didn’t cover all the glass, so you can still peek in and see the candle as it burns down.
