Dana from the Crafted Niche put together a little Crafted Christmas Ornament Exchange a couple weeks back. I finally sent my creation off in the mail for Jessica at Dear Emmeline. Come take a peek…
Jessica said she liked neutrals with green, red, white, and gold (pretty easy, right?). She also said she loves fabrics, embroidery, texture, vintage and typography. While I’m not the best at sewing or crafting with fabrics, I decided I would put my graphic design skills to good use and create something vintage-looking mixed with bit of typography.
- (2) square graphics that I designed in Photoshop
- (1) 4.5 inch piece of pine
- Mod Podge
- Bling on a Roll
- Cardinal ornament hanger
I took my 4.5 inch piece of pine and drilled a small hole in the top.
Next I printed out my designs on normal laser printer paper, trimmed them out, and mod podged it onto the wood. I put a layer of Mod Podge underneath the print, let it dry, and put another coat on top of the print.
Make sure you check out Dana’s site tomorrow to see all of the great handmade creations for the Crafted Christmas Ornament Exchange!
