Ah, I finally got around to painting some furniture over the weekend and it felt oh-so-good!
Since I’m kinda homeless right now, I’m enjoying helping out with some projects for my friends and family. First up? A beat up console table in desperate need of a makeover. My best friend wanted to add a punch of color to her new home and though near the staircase in the family room would be the perfect place.
We had an accent pillow from her couches that she wanted to match, somewhere between Duck Egg Blue and Versailles Green.
We kept mixing the two colors and painting paper plates until we found the perfect desaturated blue green.
And here’s how it turned out…
I’m totally loving this color! Reminds me of Sea Salt from Sherwin Williams that I used in my old kitchen and craft room.
And I’m in love with the legs on this piece too. You can barely tell how beat up they were before.
I didn’t wax this console table yet but I have plans to do it later this week. Since she has an active family with 4 young kids… yeah, I think I knew how the table got so beat up in the first place.
Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Loving this color! I’ll have to remember this combo when I move into my new home…

What a beautiful, calming color, it looks really “beachy” to me. I am sure your friends and family are lining up to take advantage of your down time between houses!
