So we have a winner for the craft room drape fabric choice.
Please say hello to:

Braemore Gorgeous Petal Fabric

Braemore Gorgeous Petal Fabric

hubba hubba, right?
A big thank you to everyone that voted!

So the order has been placed for this fabric and I’m oh-so-excited to finish my creative space. You might remember a couple weeks ago I showed you my latest purchase for the room…

craft room storage dresserAnd I have two of the walls already painted in Caribbean Breeze from the Clark+Kensington paint line at Ace Hardware. Simply LOVE this color. Bright and cheery, but still with some grayish undertones.

caribbean breeze paint colorNext step is to add big bold stripes on the main wall. I have the lines measured out and penciled in. Now I just have to wait for the fabric to arrive so I can choose the right complementary paint color (would hate for the original color I picked to clash and painting stripes twice might just kill me).

In other news I have probably the biggest update to the house starting next week (well… in my eyes) . We’re getting the interior painted… FINALLY. It’s been almost 8 months since we moved in and most of the walls are still white. I’ve been holding off on paint in fear that I would choose the wrong color pick out my final selection last night and the work starts Monday.

We actually hired someone since we have 9ft ceilings on the first floor. Being a 5’3″ girl, moving the ladder every 6 inches really didn’t thrill me to death. Plus I didn’t have the 25 foot ladder (ok, exaggeration there) needed to paint the stairwell leading upstairs.

It’s weird. Holding off on paint actually kept me from completing a lot of projects around the house like moldings in the foyer, tackling a loft makeover, and putting up family room curtains. I have a feeling this paint overhaul will bring a windfall of projects in my near future.

Yay for me. Nay for Ben.
