It’s hard to believe that Christmas is quickly approaching. And while I’m not a fan of decorating for the season before Thanksgiving, there’s nothing wrong with getting things ready and organized before the sleigh bells start ringing.
This year I decided to step up my gift wrapping game by creating some cute chalk board printable labels and of course I’m sharing them with you!
Just print on 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock and trim.
You can write the “to” and “from” on the back of the labels.
*To save black ink on your printer, send to Kinko’s, Office Max or even Walgreens and have them print it out for you! They’re only black and white copies so should be pretty cheap!
Then just tie or clip onto the present and you’re done!
And don’t forget to grab my Christmas Subway Art.
Just print and place in an 8×10 inch frame!
And my Christmas Bucket List!
HOPE YOU ENJOY!

Love the labels! I bet those take a lot of ink, but hey it’s Christmas…not time to be scroogey with the ink. 😉
howtonestforless says
LOL, didn’t think of that! Maybe this is a job for Kinko’s or Office Max!
Chelsea @ two twenty one says
LOVE them! You’re so sweet and giving. Just like Buddy the Elf.

Well the best way to spread Christmas cheer is giving free printables away… or something like that….

Thank you so much Linda! Great to have you here 🙂

I have a question about printing the great items you put on your site. If the background of the item is black like in the chalkboard paper looking gift tags, does that mean the printer will use up a lot of ink to create a black background? Sorry for the “blonde” question but I’m really not tech savvy and I fear if I hit print I’ll empty out my printer ink! (This all assumes you are using white paper!)
howtonestforless says
Yes, that is correct! For this job I would recommend having Kinko’s or Office Max (or something similar) to print. They can do 29¢ per copy… probably even cheaper since it’s only black and white! Have them print $5 worth and you’ll be good for years! 🙂
Lena says
I’m even less tech savvy……..How do I get them to Kinko’s or whoever??? Am I able to download them to a flash drive? Do I save them to my computer 1st???
howtonestforless says
Right click on the image and save it to your desktop. Then you can transfer to a flash drive and take them to Kinko’s. Or you can upload the JPG to Walgreens or Snapfish.com and pick up from your local Walgreens photo center!

* Is there a direct link for these tags? (Say like a link to open them in Word)
* Thought….if we had a direct link (like a Word file) we could change the settings to print using white ink and print the tags out on black cardstock.
Love the gift tags…Thanks
howtonestforless says
I don’t think you can print white ink 😉
Vanessa says
I tried to print and they print so large some of them get cut off. Tried resizing down to 30% and it still cuts off. 30% is the smallest it will go. Solutions?
howtonestforless says
Are you saving the file to your computer first? Otherwise try changing your print setting to “Fit to Page”. Hope that helps!
Katrina says
Vanessa, Did you try switching your orientation of the paper to print portrait (up and down) or landscape (left to right) I switched my orientation of the paper to print portrait and it printed with nothing cut off. the file must be set up for portrait style.
Vanessa says
Actually I tried saving to the computer & not save it. Either way printed same result. And it was automatically on fit to page. I really wanted to use these cause they’re so cute!

These are so cute! Thank you for sharing.
I am thinking of putting these on Christmas cards. How small are the lables, please?
Again, thanks for sharing.
howtonestforless says
They’re about 2.5 inches wide each!
Starshine says
They worked out nicely and were fun to put together. Some of the cards might be late, but better late than never.
Thanks so much for sharing.
