Last week I showed you guys my kitchen, all decked out for the Fall season. Well now it’s time to show you guys the next little corner of our home, the family room.
My favorite part of this room is our bookshelves on either side of the fireplace. They provide the perfect place for added holiday décor.
I still kept a lot of our greenery and family photos in place, just added some new bits and pieces.
I was happy that I found the perfect place for the monogram pumpkin I made last year. And I used some leftover sunflowers from my DIY fall candle holders I made last year on the candlesticks. They have a sticker backing so I just popped them in place.
On the shelf just below that I hung a little “pumpkins” sign I found at Gordman’s with a mini Command Brand hook. Definitely fills up the space above those adorable fabric pumpkins I also snagged from Gordman’s.
The couch got a little Fall love too with some new accent pillows. Actually the orange pillows are from our old guest bedroom in the last house.
At the fireplace I kept most of the green garland that was currently up there, I just added some Fall spray I picked up at Hobby Lobby. Then just below that I hung a burlap garland. The basket and vase are usually in those spots, I just added some new flowers and switched the blanket over from it’s normal gray to the orange side (wow, that color blocked blanket really worked out in my favor!).
On the right of the fireplace sits the other bookshelf and our leather chairs. Loving the new orange and cream buffalo check pillows. Definitely brings some subtle Fall colors to the other side of the room.
And lastly I added a new centerpiece that I snagged from HomeGoods. I really wanted to put my moss centerpiece/wreath here but our kitten was having a little too much fun tearing that one apart. Yay for cats.
Well that’s it for the family room.
I still need to show you guys my foyer and front porch so stay tuned!

I love how it all came together. It looks festive and not overly done. I really love the greenery garland you have on the mantle. Where did you find it? I love the idea of using it all year round and just adding extra sprays to change it up for the seasons!
