We have the same exact taste! When I was researching for pendant lighting over my kitchen island, I liked almost all of your examples. I ended with sample #5. I have two smaller ones hanging in my new kitchen. I love them!!! Great minds think alike 🙂 Thanks for sharing! ~Linda

This is a great roundup. I’ve been wavering on making the top fixture forever.

Yes, I would love to make that one too! I also saw it done as outdoor lighting during the summer. LOVE.

Thanks, this is awesome! If you come across any ceiling fan/light combos that are halfway decent, do a post on those too! I’ve got ugly fans in every room and feel stuck with them. Ugh.

Same here Ang! I could never get rid of my ceiling fans, but can’t companies at least make some pretty ones?!

Some cool finds. It’s interesting that almost all of your choices have exposed bulbs. The one with the exposed CFL looks ridiculous to me. Who wants to see one of those ugly bulbs?! Nothing beats the look of a traditional incandescent bulb. Fortunately, low-wattage bulbs will still be allowed, but I think anything 40-w and higher will be phased out by Jan 2014. I hope you’re building your hoard! 🙂

You know I am! Normal people hoard canned goods and water in case of an emergency. I hoard 60 watt light bulbs.
