Here again are a couple of my favorite projects I found while flipping through the DIY blog websites. These people have totally inspired me and want me to get out my paint brush (or sewing machine, oven mitt, and anything else crafty)!

LOTS of furniture features this week! Guess people are starting to get back outside & paint now that the hot weather is starting to subside. Hooray!

First up is this gorgeous buffet makeover from The Frosted Gardener. The distressing adds just the right touch and the before/after transformation is UH-mazing!

Next up are these cutie clothespin cup clips from The Created Home. Wouldn’t these be great for a kid’s birthday party to keep their cups straight? Or just any Sunday evening at my in-laws’ house with my 18 nieces and nephews! I might just have to make some of these.

Here is another idea I’m going to have to steal from The 36th Avenue. I just featured her back to school charts last week (seen here), and now I’ve discovered photos of her sewing station! Isn’t this space amazing with the pops of red and the distressed stenciling? I just got a FREE sewing desk this past week. I foresee paint in my future…

I also adore this bathroom vanity makeover from Michelle over at Ten June. I swoon over the soft gray palette! Plus the clear knobs add a little bit of sparkle and elegance. LOVE!

Last up is this post about the use of color in design from A Sort of Fairytale. If you’ve seen pics of my house, you might recall that I don’t have many white pieces of furniture or accent decor. I’m all about deep colors and jewel tones, and now I’m starting to lean towards brighter colors mixed in with vintage pieces! Stacey makes you think.. color and whimsy, or white and dreamy?

That’s it for now! Stay tuned for some more crafts and creations next week!!
