While at Gordman’s a couple of weeks ago, I found this rooster bulletin board on clearance for $3. I had really wanted a small bulletin board for my {someday} craft room and thought this would be an easy project to redesign.

I started by painting the base of the bulletin board red with Krylon’s Cherry Red spray paint.

This spray paint dries super fast (in 12 minutes or less!) and gives a nice shiny smooth coat.
Next I picked my fabric. I had scooped up this checkered pattern the last time I was at Hancock Fabrics for only $4 a yard. It looks like a tight knit burlap which I LOVE.

I used my staple gun to attach the fabric to the bulletin board. And who really cares about neat edges on the back when no one is going to see it?

I reattached the bulletin board to the red base. Love how this bulletin board came apart so easy! These little clasps are a wonderful time-saver when revamping this bulletin board!

Well, looks pretty good so far… but I wanted to personalize it a bit more!

I found this sticker lettering that says “This is Me” from Michaels. Thought this was perfect since I’m using this bulletin board to pin ideas that I find in magazines and books!

Next I used a stencil from Martha Stewart’s collection and painted  the design in Old White Annie Sloan Chalk Paint that I had leftover from previous projects.

And that’s it! A completely revamped bulletin board perfect for my {someday} craft room.

I even bought some cute little pins from Hobby Lobby,

Yep, I’m totally happy with the outcome. I can’t wait to start pinning! I hope to have my final reveal of my new craft room soon!
