Vintage Inspiration: Posters for my {someday} Craft Room

Recently I’ve found most of my inspiration from vintage artwork, furniture and collectibles. Not quite sure what started it… maybe working with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint? Or maybe following some incredibly inspiring blogs like Miss Mustard Seed? Well, whatever it is, I’m thankful!

I’ve been working hard on my {someday} craft room and will soon have something to share! But for now, you’ll have to sit tight with some vintage posters I found on Graphics Fairy that make me swoon.

First up is artwork for my sewing corner. My aunt gave me her mother’s old sewing table that I’m in the process of revamping. My grandmother was a wonderful seamstress, but I’ve never really taken to sewing or embroidery, until now!

I also adore this dress stand from Graphics Fairy. Simple, yet lovely.

I’m a St. Louis girl, so of course I have to feature a Budweiser poster…

… and something from the 1904 World’s Fair!

My father is a big time cyclist. A vintage bicycle poster would be the perfect touch to my craft room!

Or this amazing White Mountain ice cream maker advertisement. Every summer my dad pulls out our White Mountain and we make ice cream for Sunday dinners. Our family favorite? Lemon! And of course I need something to inspire me to keep writing my blog… How about a vintage typewriter? Perfection!

OK, that’s it for some of my favorite vintage poster finds from Graphics Fairy. You’ll have to wait and see which ones I decide to print and frame for my craft room! I should have a reveal coming soon!!

Wow those are all so cool! Love the dress stand especially.

BTW – there’s a craft room linkup party today at Family Brings Joy. I bet Shan would love it if you linked this up! She’s even giving door prizes just for linking or commenting. 🙂 http://blog.familybringsjoy.com/2011/09/21/dreams-do-come-true-my-craft-room/
