Yes, I know… Cleaning is no fun. And if we were all rich we’d probably have maids and never touch a toilet brush ever again. But until that magical day when we all win the lottery, I know a way to save all of us a little cash so we don’t have to purchase 100 different cleaners. Yes, one magical cleaner that can do a lot of the dirty work. So today I’m sharing 10 Cleaning Tricks and Hacks with ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda.
1. Kitchen Sink
Replace your synthetic cleaners with natural ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda. Super Washing Soda can dissolve grease and dirt throughout your kitchen and bring your sink back to life. Note: do not use Super Washing Soda on aluminum.
2. Refrigerator
We all know the fridge gets gross and dirty. Wash shelves and drawers with 1/2 cup of ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda with 1 gallon of warm water. Wash and rinse thoroughly.
3. Ovens, Range Tops, Broiler Pans
Need to tackle that tough caked-on grease? Ease these nasty jobs with a mixture of ½ cup ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda dissolved in a gallon of warm water. For stubborn messes, sprinkle Super Washing Soda dry on a damp sponge to scour quickly and easily. Remove burners and soak in solution for at least 30 minutes to banish greasy build-up. Rinse well and dry.
4. Small Appliances
We don’t always think to wipe down our smaller appliance since they’re normally out of sight, but giving them a weekly wipe will help keep them looking like new, plus remove all grease and dirt. Note: do not use Super Washing Soda on aluminum.
5. Toilet Bowls, Sinks and Tubs
Yes, the dreaded bathroom. ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda is the complete bathroom cleaner that leaves surfaces clean and your whole bathroom smelling clean. Super Washing Soda helps to remove hard water soap scum, too, especially around sinks and tubs.
6. Silver, Copper, and Gold Pieces
Yep, you can even clean up your fancy silver for Thanksgiving dinner with ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda. Adding 2 tablespoons of Super Washing Soda in 2 cups of warm water, along with a cleaning plate, will remove tarnish from silver, gold, copper, bronze, stainless steel, most brass and even your jewelry!
7. Laundry and Linens
From regular laundry to the tougher stains, adding some Super Washing Soda to your wash cycle will add some big time cleaning and freshening power. We add 1/2 cup of the ARM & HAMMER® Super Washing Soda to our regular detergent when we wash Ellie’s soccer uniform for an extra cleaning boost.
8. Concrete Surfaces
Have any oil spills on your garage floor, driveway, basement or patio? ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda cuts through grease and will have them looking new again. Just sprinkle lightly on the spills, add some water until a paste forms, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Scrub with a damp brush and hose down. You’ll be amazed!
9. Barbecue Grills and Utensils
Yep, another place where that gross grease can pile up quickly. Sprinkle the ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda on your stiff bristled brush to remove the grease from your grill grates. Or you can soak your grilling utensils in 1/2 cup of Super Washing Soda and 1 gallon of warm water for 15 minutes. Just rinse and dry!
10. Outdoor Furniture
ARM & HAMMER™ Super Washing Soda is great to use on wrought iron patio furniture and plastic patio cushions. Just scrub on with a stiff bristled brush, hose off, and dry in the sun. Just don’t do it on your deck because the Super Washing Soda can remove your deck’s wood finish. For the plastic cushions, wipe down with a cloth or sponge after scrubbing.
