We have one 7″ wide silverware drawer. We haven’t been able to find a good way to organize spoons, forks, knives and misc kitchen things like can openers. Help? Thank you

When I had my small apartment I also had limited drawer space. So I placed my silverware in (heavy) containers on my table. I would make sure the silverware are completely dry before putting away though. lol. It saved space to my drawers and the container(s) can be easily changed out when you want to change décor.

In this house I hung wire shelves from the celing! We bought tge industrial type wire shelves, took them off the pipes that stood them up, attached three shelves to four heavy duty chains at the corner of the shelves and hung from our tall ceiling. Then we put large “s” hooks around the bottom shelf to hang pots and pans and long handled spoons, spatulars and serving forks. I put large baskets on the shelves to store seldom used party stuff. This hung over the Island. This has worked wonderfully for 13 years but now we are moving and I can hardly wait to use the great ideas I’ve learned here.
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!

I’ve used a regular silverware tray on the shallow wire “shelves” that slide over your existing cabinet shelf. This will work like a drawer for utensils inside a cabinet.

There are (wooden) adjustable drawer dividers you can use. Also Rubbermaid has interlocking individual rectangular and square trays. Or if you like colorful ones check out the dollar store in their organizing bins section.

I noticed that the link to the linen closet organization is missing, so I googled it and dug it up.
Here’s the link for that for anyone who’s also looking for it —
