One of the reasons I’m at the Haven Conference right now is to learn more painting techniques. I love painting furniture, but thought I could use a class or two in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I’m kinda obsessed with the stuff, but why not take some lessons from one of the best… Miss Mustard Seed.

So today I thought I’d share a round up of my favorite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint projects from the past!

Erin–It was so great to meet you at Haven!

You know my favorite part about ASCP? (that I didn’t know?) That you can use it outdoors! I think I need to paint a chandy!!

Hope you get some rest, I know I’m exhausted!

I have found a couple versions of a recipe for homemade chalk paint. One involves adding plaster of paris and water to regular paint, another adds unsanded grout. Much cheaper to make your own and just as good! Not sure if it is okay to ;ut a link to another website, but great chalk paint recipe at “Inmyownstyle.com” Hope this helps.

Thanks Pat for the info! I’ll have to try it 😉

I agree with Pat! Make your own chalk paint….it’s far less expensive and works like a charm. Just saying, since the crux of DIYing is saving money. Joe

The top is just the original wood. I didn’t do anything to it since the finish was beautiful as is!
