Collage Keychains: Mod Podge Podgeable Shapes

A couple of weeks ago I received a box of Mod Podge goodies from Plaid Crafts. A bunch of their new products that I’ve never seen before, plus some old school swag. Wanna see?

So for my first craft I decided to make some Collage Keychains using some of the sweet supplies:

• Mod Podge Podgeable Shapes
• Mod Podge Rub On Transfers
• Mod Podge Podgeable Papers
• Mod Podge Matte Finish
• Key Rings

What’s cool about some of the small Podgeable Shapes is that they have holes in the top so you can string them to make necklaces, charms, keychains and more.

I wanted my new keychain to have some subway art so I grabbed the rub on transfers. Pretty easy to adhere to the podgeable, just rub on with the little stick that comes in the package! LOVE these.

Next I chose some of the Podgeable Papers to go behind the subway art. I used an exacto knife to trim it out and a little Mod Podge to adhere it.

Next I worked on the back side of the keychain. I decided to make a little collage using the Podgeable Papers and a little bit of washi tape.

I have the whole thing a couple of coats with Mod Podge in a matte finish.

When it was dry I added a little key ring!

Since the whole project only took me about 10 minutes, I decided to make one more! What I love about the Podgeable Shapes and Podgeable Papers is that the shapes and sizes actually go together. I spotted some cool art deco prints and matched them up with the same size Podgeables.

I trimmed out the graphics and finished it off with a couple of coats of Mod Podge. And that’s it! Pretty cute keychains, huh?

I’m totally digging the collaged monogram with the subway art on the backside. It’s the one I actually have on my keychain right now! I’m using the other keychain for our spare keys.
