Dollar Store Flower Vase Centerpieces

I was looking for a new centerpiece for my Dining Room and thought I could create something for pretty cheap. How cheap? How about Dollar Store cheap.

I purchased my supplies:

  • 3 low glass vases
  • 2 bags of white rocks
  • 3 bouquets of flowers (two pink, one white)

I poured some of the white rocks into each vase. You should only need about 2/3 of each bag of rocks to fill each vase.

Next I trimmed the stems of the plastic flowers to about the same height of the vase… just enough so only the flower would pop out. I stuck the flowers one by one into the vases, filling pretty full so the flowers were dense.

Pretty cute, huh?

So basically I created these three flower vases for $8 total.
Not too shabby for a brand new Dining Room centerpiece, right?

pretty and cheap? My favorite combination:)

Is it wrong that I’m sitting on my couch watching the Olympics, eating ice cream (diet is on summer hiatus) and dog-earring the Ikea catalogue? Gosh I love that store!
