It’s time for another Foodie Friday! #foodiefriday As mentioned last week my sister now lives a couple doors down from me so we decided to dig out some family recipes and try a new favorite each week, sharing them with you of course!
Well today I’m sharing with you guys one of my favorite soups of all time, shrimp bisque. When tasting it, my husband said this is something you’d expect from a high quality restaurant, WOOT! And it’s super easy to make… I promise. Only about 10-15 minutes prep time! Quick and easy dinner for families on the go.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can of cream of celery soup
- 2 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp white wine (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 to 1 1/2 lbs of medium or large shrimp, peeled
- Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
In large pot, combine cream soups, milk, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, and celery. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium low.
Add shrimp and white wine (optional) and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in salt & pepper (I put in about 1 tbsp of each, I like it more flavorful!).
And then get ready to taste the most delicious shrimp bisque ever.
Seriously. It’s my new favorite.
This makes a perfect appetizer for your Sunday dinners.
Or filling enough to take to work for lunches.
Hope you enjoy this recipe.
Nothing better on a cool Fall night than a yummy soup!

I tried to find this answer and was unable to. How many servings would that shrimp bisque make?

We can easily feed 6-8 people with the pot for dinner.
