Happy Valentine’s Day!
Well, almost.
I did this project for a guest blog last week but thought I would share it with you here just in case you missed it!
Nothing like last minute decorating!
This project is super simple and super cheap!
All you need is:
- foam hearts from a craft store ($1 each, get one per name)
- Valentine’s Day ribbon
- hot glue gun
- white paint
- foam brush
- stencil for names
- drapery ring clip
I started by hot gluing the (3) foam hearts to a 4 foot piece of Valentine’s Day ribbon.
Now it’s time to add the names of our family members!
For the stencils, I actually printed out the names on my Silhouette Cameo (in the font Channel) and used the sticker’s backing for a stencil. If you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo, you can just used a normal stencil or large stickers!
I used white paint and a foam brush to fill in the sticker stencil.
I added a large Valentine’s Day bow to the top of the foam heart chain using the same ribbon that I used for the base.
For a simple solution to hang the project, I used a curtain clip. I stuck the ring around a wreath hanger and attached the clip to the top of the heart ribbon. Everything is disguised with the large Valentine’s Day bow on the top!
And it’s ready to hang on the door in my kitchen…
Quick and easy project for your home interior! And I think Michael’s sells these foam shapes for St. Patrick’s Day and other holidays. LOVE that! I definitely see more of these in my future!
