What’s YOUR Wish?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

So you might remember about 3 weeks ago I shared a story with you guys about holiday cheer, trying to spread love and joy through holiday wishes and stories. This season, UPS wants to share these magical stories and also make it more special for YOU!

From now until December 31st, 2014 you can submit your wish to the UPS hub by simply posting the wish on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, or going direct to the #WishesDelivered site and submit it there (or do all three to really get your wish out there!).

And for every wish submitted with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) up to $100,000!

So what’s my holiday wish?

My in-laws have always focused on family. Almost every Sunday for as long as I can remember we’ve had family dinners at their house. The entire family: my in-laws, the 7 kids and their spouses, 19 grandkids, and 2 great grandchildren. Outsiders think we’re crazy for getting together every single week, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Family is everything.

Well my in-laws never spend money on themselves or on updating their house; they only focus on helping out the family in times of need. I could tell you 50 different stories from just the past year of how they’ve put others first.

But now I wish it could be their turn. They deserve some good luck and good fortune. I would love to grant them one special wish, but still focused around what means the most to them: family.

Since we have our weekly dinners at their home, I would love to do something focused around their kitchen or family room. Their cabinets are 35+ years old and falling apart and need some major love. Or the couches and chairs in their family room are 12+ years old (and with 19 grandkids and 2 great grandkids, you can probably imagine how they look now).

So I’m looking for some ideas on how I can fulfill my wish. What do you think?

Maybe Goodwill tables, or some couches on super clearance,
getting my brothers and sisters to pitch in…
or maybe just a coat of paint on the cabinets with new hardware.

Anything to make this wish come true!

This is all about sharing holiday wishes and stories, so please join in creating holiday cheer by sharing your own heart-felt wish for someone else (which also helps raise money for charity) and spreading the UPS #WishesDelivered stories. This is for a great cause and the more sharing and wishes the better, so go for it!

So, What’s your wish?
