I love white cabinets. I really do. We painted our old kitchen cabinets white and it completely transformed the space, like shockingly different. I also painted my mom’s kitchen cabinets white and it refreshed the room. Then of course we chose white cabinets in our new house as well.
But if I didn’t redesign every room in my home after a hot minute, then I might have tried something bold… an unexpected pop of color on the kitchen cabinets.
I mean just look at these mint green cabinets.
Love the mix of rattan chairs and those glass pendants.

I would love to paint ALL of my cabinets, but my hubster is dead set against it. He doesn’t even like colored walls, but I just paint them anyway! I think doing the cabinets would push him over the edge! 🙂 Thankfully when we built our house, the builder used a great local cabinet maker and I have high quality oak cabinets that still look almost new (16 years later). I love the navy and white cabinets, too. I’m also on a big turquoise kick right now so I’m pretty much diggin’ the turquoise cabinets.

I’ve heard local cabinet makers are the way to go! Well, maybe we can just start with a bathroom? 😉

I LOVE the green! It’s the perfect shade- not too bright but definitely brings some color.

Totally agree!

I cannot decide on a color for my cabinets. The backsplash has beiges, the floors are darker with greys, beiges, browns. Do I choose contrasting color or one that matches?

I would go contrasting. It’s hard to say without seeing a picture, but from what you’re telling me, contrast may be the way.
