March 2015 in Review

It’s my favorite time of the month again. I love looking back and seeing what I’ve accomplished over the past few weeks. March was especially busy with lots of Easter projects and some big home updates. Let’s take a look…

So as you can see, March was a super busy month!  Loving all of the Spring and Easter projects. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a bunch of outdoor projects in the near future too now that the weather is warmer!

I also have some SUPER BIG news coming later this week.
Can’t wait to share!

Easter Mesh Carrot Wreath

Happy Monday everyone! Continuing on with my Easter theme and sharing my new door/wall bling today… an Easter Mesh Carrot Wreath.

easter mesh carrot wreathMaterials needed:
• Straw wreath
• Orange mesh & green mesh (got them 50% off at Michael’s)
• Greenery pins
• Knife
• Plastic cling wrap

easter carrot mesh wreathThis is a pretty easy project, but I promise you it’s gonna look like a hot mess for a little bit. Have faith and it will turn out ok!

So you’re going to start by chopping the straw wreath (still wrapped in the plastic) with your knife. I cut it into 3 even parts, then cut one of the pieces in half again (so basically 1/3, 1/3, 1/6 and 1/6). Form like below with the two larger pieces on the outside and the smaller pieces on the inside. And yes, this will get messy.

Like really wrap it until it feels pretty secure.

And lastly add a little loop in the back to hang (I just used an extra piece of mesh rolled tightly and pinned it to the back of the wreath form).

And your final piece will look a little something like this…

easter mesh carrot wreathIf you remember my Christmas sun room décor, I made this little wood background to go above our TV hutch to display my wreaths. The wreath just hangs on here with a Command Brand hook. Super simple.

Yep, I think this is one of my favorite wreaths to date!
